Inspired by Matthew Dicks, I am tracking the changes I’m making in my life. It’s already late 2024, but it’s always better to start than to wait for the right time.
Personal Fitness
Lift weights 3x per week – still doing it
Do cardio 3x per week – stumped by a nagging ankle injury I got playing soccer in September. TBC.
Lose weight – down about 10 pounds since the summer.
Walk during the day so I get used to the seasonal changes – I’ve never felt this good when the weather gets cold here.
Music
Record songs – nothing so far
Make videos for promo – nothing so far
Write new songs – also just making fragments of songs. The ideas are still coming, but I’m not executing. Family and work are highly prioritized in my life.
Play shows monthly – done
Book shows with other artists – kind of – not really yet. We’re reaching out to other artists but nothing has been set yet.
Start memorizing lyrics while driving – so far, very very good. Made a lot of progress this way.
Work
Make a new website – done
Post monthly on social media – definitely not done. Or better yet, done only a little bit earlier this year.
House
Kitchen renovation – done
Build shelves with Ian – underway, but probably done for the year because it’s too cold to continue
Build garage shelves – supplies are there, but not the time so far
Random Skills
Start learning Romanian – Did the Pimsleur course, and am reading a book in Romanian.
